Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at laura@p96studio.com if you cannot find an answer to your questions

Is pilates for men and women?

Absolutely! The beauty of Reformer Pilates is that it activates all muscles, improves coordination and increases strength, flexibility and stamina, for every body and type!

What do I wear to class?

Appropriate clothing is essential as you are going to work up a sweat! We recommend gym tights, leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or tank top. Grip socks required and available for purchase at the studio.

Do I need to be fit to attend a class?

Absolutely not. With small group classes Instructors can modify exercises to accommodate each individual’s ability, while at the same time allowing the client to work at their own pace.

What do I need to know for my first class?

Please arrive 5 minutes early to your first class. This is so you have time to familiarize yourself with the studio and meet your Instructor. You will also have a quick run down on the Reformer Bed you will use during class. If you’re late to your first class you might not be able to train. No mobile phones during classes (please be respectful to others). There is a small basket at each station for your keys and phones.

Are there any requirement for post natal clients?

Please wait until you have received the all clear from your 6 week check-up.

Can I take a class if I am pregnant?

Yes you can take group or private sessions. If you are pregnant you must inform the Instructor at the beginning of each class, as modifications of certain exercises will be required.

How many people to a class?

Our small group classes allow our Instructors to focus on each individual to achieve maximum benefit.

Are private sessions available?

Yes, p96studio offers both 1 on 1 Private Classes and small group privates. If you would like Private Classes with an Instructor tailored to your specific needs, please contact Laura.

What if my class is cancelled?

Classes need a minimum of 2 clients to proceed. Classes will be cancelled up to 2 hours before the start time of the class if there are less than 2 people booked in.

Can I still join a class if I am running late?

All of our classes include a warm up and a cool down. If you are more than 5 minutes late to your class then you may not be able to join, and the Instructor may turn you away from the class.

I can't make class, will you refund it?

Unfortunately, no. I have a strict 12 hour cancellation policy for group classes and 24 hours for private classes. If you can’t make your class, it is your responsibility to cancel or you will lose the session if you're using a Pack or a Private and Memberships will incur a fee if it's outside of the 12 hour or 24 hour window, depending on which applies. We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, but we need to be strict and fair to all clients.

My class is booked out, what should I do?

With a maximum of clients per class, our small group classes can get booked out. You can add yourself to the wait list for that class by booking yourself into the class as you would normally. Once you add yourself to a wait list, you’ll receive an email confirmation of your request. When a place becomes available in the class you will be notified via sms or email. To ensure fairness for all clients and to allow those on the wait list an opportunity to attend a class, once notified, you will have two hours to reply using the link supplied in the email. If you do not respond with in the two hour window, or decline your place, you will be removed from the wait list and the place will be offered to the next client on the wait list. If you confirm your place you’ll receive another notification confirming your place.

Can I suspend or extend my class or private packs or monthly membership?

We do not allow suspensions or extensions on your Packs unless you are injured, in which case we will ask for a doctors note. Any unused sessions will expire on their due dates. With 30 day written notice, you can freeze your monthly membership for a maximum of 30 days per calendar year. a monthly hold fee of $50 will be charged in place of your membership.
